In total, we received input from 107 individuals. The priorities that emerged from those sessions included:
1. Institutional Advancement
- Operations (Finance/Purchasing, Safety and Security, Communication)
- Infrastructure (Housing, Information Technology, Campus/Site Development)
- Planning (Community Engagement, Data and Assessment, Personnel)
2. Academic Advancement
- Academic Excellence (Quality, Resources, Support)
- Retention (Tutoring and Mentorship, Student Services, Onboarding)
- Graduation (Advising, Online Education, Job Placement)

NTU is waiving tuition for English 98, Math 98, and Science 90 this summer semester; however, students must complete the course. This is a great opportunity for students coming fresh out of high school wanting to get a jump start on their education or students returning after a period of absence and are in need a refresher course before re-enrolling.
Developmental courses are not covered by the federal Pell grant, so this is a good financial option for students. Taking a developmental course often delays graduation by a semester, or however long it takes a student to complete the course. A delayed graduation date puts the student at risk of exhausting financial aid and stopping out.
To prevent this from happening, we encourage you to spread the word about this opportunity with your students and with your personal contacts. Attached is a flyer for the waiver, which is happening at each of NTU’s five locations.
For more information, contact us at 505.786.4107. Registration for the summer is currently open!
The spring 2019 course evaluations were launched on Monday, April 15, 2019. They are currently live. Students can completed their course evaluations two different ways:
- 1. Through the email they provided to admissions when they first enrolled and,
- 2. MyNTU will have the links available for them.
If students have not received any notification to complete their course evaluations from email@example.com or MyNTU, please check with Sheena Begay (firstname.lastname@example.org), Sharon Platero (email@example.com) or any of the admissions clerks. There are no paper surveys. Provided are step-by-step instructions on how to access course evaluations.
