The Navajo Technical University Men's Basketball had their third regular season game Friday, November,4th at 7:30 pm at Adam State University.
The Skyhawks won the tip-off and kept an up-pace tempo and with the help of their strong defense, the game was neck and neck. With quick baskets on each side of the court. Unfortunately, the team began to have multiple fouls leading them to trail the Grizzlies 54-33 ending the first half. The Skyhawks trailed by 20 points for the entirety of the second half. The Skyhawks battled hard until the very last second of the game. The Skyhawks had a tough loss to Adam State University, with a final score of 109-74 in Alamosa, Colorado. When asked the question "How does the team plan to overcome the loss of today's game and be ready for the next ?" Skyhawks #23 Jose Miguel Jr stated " Well we plan to sharpen our defense the next game and execute better offensively" This early loss will be in the back of the team's mind as they work towards a great, history-making season. The Men's Basketball Team will be traveling again to Espanola, NM to play against Northern New Mexico on Saturday, November 5th at 7:00 pm. Please wish the team good luck and safe travels.
