Bismarck, ND — Navajo Technical University (NTU) proudly recognizes its Archery Team for competing in the 2026 American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC) Student Conference, where Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs) from across the nation gather to showcase student talent, leadership, and cultural pride.

Throughout the competition, the NTU Archery Team demonstrated strong focus, discipline, and teamwork as they tracked their scores and worked to advance through each round. The event provides students with a valuable opportunity to compete at a national level while engaging with peers and representing their institution with pride.
Representing NTU in this year’s competition are:

+ Tevielynn Yazzie, Industrial Engineering
+ Natasha (Noah) Ramona, IT New Media (Team Captain)
+ Eric Yuth, Automotive Technology
+ Donovan Martinez, Automotive Technology
+ Andre Beno, Environmental Engineering
+ Karen Dan, Culinary Arts and Chemistry
+ D’Andre Harker, IT/Math

Team Captain Natasha Ramona highlighted the team’s performance, stating, “Our team is doing really well, and I am proud of every member. We are staying focused, making strong shots, and enjoying the experience.”

Student competitor Eric Yuth reflected on the event, saying, “It has been a great experience. It is exciting to be here and compete at AIHEC.”

D’Andre Harker added, “It feels good to compete. The key is to stay focused, control your breathing, and take one shot at a time.”

Archery Coach Dr. Sam Arungwa emphasized the importance of unity and perseverance, stating, “We compete as a team and represent NTU with pride. Staying focused and giving your best effort is what matters most.”

NTU Athletic Director George LaFrance reinforced this approach, advising students to remain composed and disciplined: “Stay focused, breathe, and take one arrow at a time. Compete against yourself and do your best.”

The AIHEC Student Conference continues to serve as an important gathering that celebrates Indigenous identity, academic achievement, and student leadership. NTU remains committed to supporting opportunities that promote student growth, cultural pride, and academic excellence.
