Kirtand, NM – Due to the extent of flooding in Kirtland and surrounding areas, NTU’s Kirtland site will be CLOSED Monday and Tuesday, October 26–27, 2026. Classes will NOT be held in person or online during this time.

To prioritize the safety and well-being of our campus community, attendance requirements for Kirtland staff, faculty, and students, course assignments, and academic deadlines will be temporarily suspended during the closure. This time will allow everyone to focus on their families, community, and safety.

NTU will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed. If the closure is extended or circumstances change, updates will be communicated through RAVE announcements and/or email. Please remain attentive to these communications for the latest information.

We encourage everyone to prioritize their safety, follow local emergency guidance, and take care of themselves and their loved ones.

Note: The NTU bus between Farmington-Crownpoint will be operating on Monday-Tuesday.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the flooding.

Please stay safe.
