Crownpoint, N.M. – The group of 40 high school students was welcomed at the Wellness Center by Michael McMillan, who introduced NTU and provided an overview of the university’s academic programs, student services, and the many opportunities available to prospective students.

Following the presentation, the students divided into five smaller groups for guided campus tours. Stops included the Student Union Building, Academic Building, Culinary Arts Department, Fabrication Lab, Library, and the Trades Building, giving students a firsthand look at the university’s facilities and learning environments.

Throughout the tour, McMillan highlighted the distinctive features of each academic program and explained what students can expect throughout their educational journey at NTU. Faculty members and program representatives joined the groups at various locations to provide additional insight into their programs, demonstrate specialized equipment and learning spaces, and answer students’ questions.

The visit concluded with lunch in the campus cafeteria before the group departed.
NTU welcomes schools, organizations, and community groups interested in experiencing the university through a campus tour. Each visit is tailored to the interests and educational goals of the group, offering a personalized introduction to NTU’s academic programs, student resources, and campus community.
