Chinle, AZ — On May 19, 2026, Navajo Technical University (NTU) hosted a formal pinning ceremony at the Chinle campus to celebrate the professional certification of twelve Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) candidates.

Consistent with nursing tradition, each graduate selected a mentor or inspirational figure to pin, symbolizing the critical support systems that facilitated their academic and professional development.

The proceedings included formal addresses from several distinguished representatives, including Administrative Assistant Karinne Dohi, Instructor Trina Mathis, and Program Coordinator Krista Haven. Furthermore, motivational insights were offered by Shirley Descheenie, with Dennis Dedman delivering the invocation and closing benediction.
