Chinle, AZ—On August 16, 2024, The Kids Day event hosted by Navajo Technical University’s Chinle campus was a great success! It was heartwarming to see all the kids so excited to spend the day outdoors with us. The event, which took place at our Chinle NTU site in collaboration with Chinle Dine Youth, was filled with joy and fun. Even our Chinle NTU site director, Arlena Benallie, joined the action!
Thanks to the great organization, the day ran smoothly. Service providers followed parking guidelines, and NTU Security ensured efficient traffic management. Dignitaries, including Navajo Nation leaders and Miss Navajo Nation contestants, joined us, sharing inspiring messages with the youth.
The Department of Behavioral & Mental Health Services provided fresh snacks, great music from Desert Mobile Sounds, and lots of support from local agencies and volunteers. A special shoutout to Bryan Yazzie for bringing the bouncy house, snow cone, and popcorn machine, which was a massive hit with the kids.
We’re already looking forward to next year, and thanks to everyone who helped make Kids Day a success!
