We would like to extend an invitation for you attend Skyhawk Student Orientation at NTU. The orientation team consists of outstanding undergraduate students, staff and faculty, who have worked to prepare a special time for you to understand what it means to be part of our community and strive for higher educational opportunities.

During orientation week, you will have the opportunity to meet your Orientation Student Leader, who will be assisting you throughout the week and hopefully throughout your first-year experience. All student participants will be meeting with each of the departments at NTU to understand the structure of the college and, most importantly, get to know our dynamic team of educators.

In addition, the orientation events will include workshop sessions filled with tips and advice from the current undergraduate students about the challenges and values of college life. We feel that orientation is also a wonderful occasion to enhance your experience and to establish lifelong friendships through extra-curricular activities and team-building events.

Before attending Skyhawk Student Orientation, we highly recommend that you take your placement testing exams and register for classes before the orientation week.

During NTU Student Orientation you will:

  • Find out about NTU services and resources.
  • Learn about campus life from current NTU students.
  • Meet with your academic advisor.
  • Compile your class schedule.
  • Register for your classes ( if you have not already done so).
  • Meet other first-year freshmen
  • Participate in educational, fun-filled events and trips to local attractions!

The new student orientation is for all incoming freshmen, including transfer freshmen with 24 or fewer credits who have never attended NTU. All incoming freshmen must fill out an application and submit in order to be considered and accepted into this exciting week.

For transfer students with more than 24 credits or non-traditional students, NTU will host a mandatory, two-day orientation (please contact us for further details).

Returning students are not required to attend any orientation.
